Three No. 1 seeds are huge favorites to make the Final Four among Men's Bracket Challenge Game players this year, with the South region dividing users the most.
Top seeds Duke (61.20 percent), Michigan (56.76) and Arizona (53.68) are in the Final Four on more than half of this year's MBCG entries. But the fourth spot is split, as No. 2 Houston tops No. 1 Florida (38.17 to 34.63) as the top choice in the South region.
Some other items of note from how people are picking their Final Four teams:
- Gonzaga is the most-picked No. 3 seed, making the national semifinals on 11.40 percent
- Arkansas is the top choice from the No. 4 line, reaching the Final Four on 10.09 percent
- From lower down the seed lines, North Carolina is in the Final Four on 3.19 percent of brackets despite being a No. 6 seed
- What about a Cinderella? Saint Louis is a No. 9 seed and in the Final Four on 2.49 percent of brackets
East
| Team | Percent picked to Final Four |
|---|---|
| No. 1 Duke | 61.20 |
| No. 2 UConn | 13.22 |
| No. 3 Michigan State | 9.59 |
| No. 5 St. John's | 5.10 |
Duke is both the top overall seed and the most popular team to reach Indianapolis. The Blue Devils' 61.20 percent is down a bit from last year's squad, which pulled a 65.3. St. John's also clipped No. 4 Kansas for the fourth spot in the East, with the Jayhawks nabbing 4 percent of brackets.
West
| Team | Percent picked to Final Four |
|---|---|
| No. 1 Arizona | 53.68 |
| No. 2 Purdue | 13.65 |
| No. 3 Gonzaga | 11.40 |
| No. 4 Arkansas | 10.09 |
There's another huge gap in this region, with the top seed dwarfing everyone else. But this is the only region where four different teams received at least 10 percent of picks.
Midwest
| Team | Percent picked to Final Four |
|---|---|
| No. 1 Michigan | 56.76 |
| No. 2 Iowa State | 18.40 |
| No. 3 Virginia | 8.27 |
| No. 4 Alabama | 3.63 |
Here's another region where the top seed is pacing well ahead of everyone else.
South
| Team | Percent picked to Final Four |
|---|---|
| No. 2 Houston | 38.17 |
| No. 1 Florida | 34.63 |
| No. 3 Illinois | 10.13 |
| No. 5 Vanderbilt | 4.69 |
Here's the region with the closest call. Florida may be the defending national champion and the top seed, but there's a chance the Gators get a title game rematch in the Elite Eight with Houston. The Cougars come in just a little ahead of Florida, with a 2 seed possibly getting a little boost because the regional will be played at the Toyota Central in Houston.
